Well the new year is here. And that means that I am off to the races, so to speak. Over the course of the year I am going to write about my experience to accomplish the direction that I have set for myself. I hope to not be too boring. Meaning I do not want this to be simply a travel log but also an accounting of my hopes and fears. My success and failures. And most importantly how have I learned and grown as a person.

So let’s get started. One of my targets is to loose 20lbs. Here is my strategy.
- Exercise. Get at least 60 minutes of cardiovascular 5 days a week.
- Strength Train 30 minutes 3x’s a week
- Decrease my intake of refined sugar. Eliminate Soda and drinks with High Fructose Corn Syrup
- Improve my intake of whole grains, vegetables, and fruit
- Implement the 80% Rule…eat until I feel 80% full.
- Increase water intake
I know it is not rocket science. Most things in life are not. The real challenge is staying consistent. It is easy to “be good” for a day or a week. But for a month, 3 months, and heaven forbid a year. There lies the crux. With that I am off to exercise. Wish me luck.
