Success Unexpected

I have learned, that if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours. ~ Henry David Thoreau ~

About

Hello World…well maybe not the world. Let me start over, Hello YOU, thanks for visiting Success Unexpected.

The purpose of this blog is to chronicle my 2008 experience. For the past few years my wife and I have sat down on the 31st of December and set our New Year Resolutions. Doing this has brought a lot of joy and happiness into my life.

This year, I wanted to share my experience with others. Hoping that I might help another person bring a little happiness and joy into their life.

On the My Directions tab you will find my list of New Year Resolutions. These are the things I am going to be working to accomplish throughout 2008. I will, as necessary make changes and updates. As I do this I will work to be totally transparent so you can see what I add, what I take away, and what I accomplish.

On the Home Page I am going to be talking about my experiences and sharing with you how things are going, what I am learning, and the overall arch of my 2008 experience.

So thank you for joining me in my experience.

Here is a little more about me…

Kristian j. Olsen is a Husband, a Father [of one little boy], a Son, a Sibling, a good citizen, and hopefully a good friend.

He has worked in the field of Higher Education for 10 years. In that time he has perfected the art of supporting students in getting the most out of their education and developing student leaders.

Kristian has worked with thousands of college students which has led directly to them fully engaging in their collegiate experience.

It was during his own college experience that Kristian became passionate about the college experience and getting the most from that time.

During college Kristian started several clubs and organizations along with serving in several different capacities from Student Body President to Board of Regents member.

Kristian has never really left college. He did graduate but he continues to work with students on a daily basis to support them in the pursuit of attaining their college degree.

Kristian is an experienced Student Success Coach, public speaker, and all around nice guy.
